Eirik Johansen Dobbedal has accepted the job as the new manager of the national park. Congratulations and we look forward to good cooperation!

He starts full-time work from January. Former manager Morten Johannessen is working 60 percent for a few months to ensure a smooth transfer of tasks.

Eirik comes from a job as an agricultural and forestry advisor in Kragerø municipality and he writes about himself:

"I have a professional background from NTNU and Telemark University College (now USN) with a master's degree in outdoor life. After my studies, I started working as a project manager at Friluftsrådet Sør IKS where I have worked with nature guidance for children and young people, grants and information projects related to outdoor life in Østre Agder and Nissedal. The job has given me a broad understanding of the outdoor field and outdoor issues. I worked at the Outdoor Council for eight years before joining Kragerø municipality in February 2022. I currently come from the position of agricultural and forestry advisor in Kragerø municipality, where I have worked with management tasks related to agriculture, forestry, wildlife and selected cultural landscapes Jomfruland and Stråholmen, after the municipality got back the agricultural office after several years of cooperation with Drangedal municipality.

I've been curious about the job of national park manager since the position was advertised several years ago, and when the job became available it was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. "I'm looking forward to starting the job and getting to know the nature above and below water within the national park!"
