Lost fishing gear piled up on a jetty found in Færder National Park in 2022.

The Institute of Marine Research has now published a new report in the project "Measures against ghost fishing in marine national parks" (2021-2022). The project has focused on mapping and removing lost fishing gear in the four national parks Raet, Jomfruland, Færder and Ytre Hvaler.

The report gathers important knowledge about the extent, consequences, use of new technology and possible measures to reduce the loss of fishing gear. You can read the full report by following this link to the report "Measures against ghost fishing in marine national parks".
